25 Ways To Create Effective Links

Before I begin some of this stuff maybe kind of basic but please try not to forget that it is the attention to detail of the small points that will gives you a good foundation for the bigger picture.

And key here I’m not talking about link swapping, I’m talking about generating good quality one way links back to you.

1. Make the content of your site easy to understand and ensure good spelling and grammer!! Remember that you are hoping that intellectual types will review your site.

2. Have an easily findable privacy policy in an about us page to ensue trust amongst your visitors.

3. Submit relevant to your site articles to some of the reputable sites, remebering to always include a subtle link in there.

4. Put out a press release, you’ll need to spend some time with though as you’ll need to project the correct image.

5. Submit your site to dmoz, most of the major palyer search engines use this as a source of gathering information about sites and it will definately give you a boost in your page rankings.

6. Link to your own site where possible to the relavant articles that are there.

7. Get a link to your local chamber of commerce, although I believe there is a charge.

8. Use relationship with other non-competing sites and swap links and mention them as often as possible and recommend them when you can.

9. Review relavant products with amazon and include a link back

10. Join the amazon affilaites program and link back.

11. Take out Google adsense, although I cannot prove this I’m sure it increases your profile.

12. Use Google analytics, again as above I’m not 100% but if Google are visiting your site daily to download traffic details then maybe they also update their system info.

13. Ensure you make changed to your content as often as possible, shows search engines that the site is still active.

14. Join forums and ensure you leave a link.

15. Submit to directories both paid and free, see list below of free directories.

Now lets not forget the importance of submiitng to some of the paid ones too, and the following directories have multiple catorgaries so they will be relavant to you all in some way.

I have only included the directories which have resonably high page rank and a lot of them are US directories so there a lot of scope for you with potential visitors to your site.

16. Search for relavant linking partners ( or if you contact me I’ll do it for you using the link management software I have).

17. If you buy a product on-line thatyou really like submit a testimonial with a link back to your site/ hub.

18. Start a blog and post often, with good quality content.

19. Start an affiliate program and aquire links this way.

20. Use social book marking a couple will do, if you visit any of my sites you’ll see a huge bookmark at the bottom of every index page.

21. Create a directory within your site and link back.

22. Never ever use link farms, most times the links you aquire will not be reavant so the search engines will not use them for your rankings ( maybe I should have mentioned this earlier so i’ll side track for a moment).

Relavant content.

This point is extremely important and will bear you results in the future if you take it on board.

When the search engines visit your site they also analyse your links, and by this I mean they will visit the site your linking to and decide whether the content of this site is relavant to yours. If it is not then it is excluded from pr info and ignored.

So ensure every site you link to bears some relavance to your own.

Back to the list.

23. Stay away from sites that have multiple pages of links, these are viewed as link farms too.

24. Only link to and from sites that have a PR of atleast one less than your own.

25. Answer questions on Google anf Yahoo groups.
